Raffel Residence 199 is a landed property development by BSG Property (Boon Siew Group). The development consists of 199 terrace houses. It is located in the Bukit Gambier, Gelugor area, right in front of the Raffel Tower condominium (another BSG Property development).
I took my daughter to Raffel Park recently, and it looks like there are more and more occupants at Raffel Residence, even though the price of the houses here are pretty high. Raffel Park is a recreation park/playground within the Raffel Residence area. The terrace houses here has a modern design, and the rows of houses look new and nice.
The location of Raffel Residence 199 is very strategic – the Penang Bridge, Tesco, Homepro, Udini Square and E-Gate are just about 10-15 minutes away (with clear traffic). Taman Island Glades is about 5 minutes by car, so, you can easily get to coffee shops like Genting Cafe and Mandarin Cafe. There are also mini market (Suan Hin Mini Market), convenience stores, pharmacies and clinic in the Taman Island Glades area. It is also easy to get to Georgetown either via Jalan Masjid Negeri (Greenlane) or Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu Expressway.
Raffel Park, the recreation park/playground within Raffel Residence is a favourite place for my daughter. It has a children’s playground, basketball court, jogging track, and some “outdoor gym equipment”. Many people visit Raffel Park in the evening, creating a lively environment.
In my opinion, Raffel Residence 199 is a nice place to live in, and raise a family. The area is peaceful and quiet, and it is so strategically located. The only downside is that the houses here are pricey (it’s normal, I guess, since it is so strategically located).
