Raffel Park is a recreational park in Gelugor, Penang. The park was built by BSG Property, about the same time as when Raffel Residence was developed. The design of Raffel Park leverages the elevated nature of the site, creating a landscape that captures the unique hilly characteristics of the Bukit Gambir region. Raffel Park is roughly divided into 3 zones. Zone 1 is the “Active Recreation” zone with a playground for children, multi-purpose field and a car park. Zone 2 is the “Sports Zone” with a 50m sprinting track, a full-sized basketball court and a resting area. Zone 3 is the “Passive Recreation” zone with lots of trees.
Upon entering Raffel Park, visitors will see the car park and the children playground. The children playground has swings, slides, and a mini obstacle course equipment.
Going in further, there is a full-sized basketball court and a 50m sprinting track. The sprinting track is part of the jogging track going around the park. The second part of the jogging track is lined with trees.
There is also an area with “outdoor gym” equipment at the park.
SJK (T) Subramaniya Barathee is situated right beside Raffel Park. Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Gambir and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bukit Gambir are also nearby. Teachers and students from these schools sometimes use Raffel Park for their physical/sports activities.
There are lots of greeneries around Raffel Park, which makes it a relaxing place. Many people come here to exercise, jog and walk around.
