Looking for a good car wash in Gelugor, Penang? Promenade Waterworks Centre Car Wash is an excellent place to have your car cleaned. The car wash is located along Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, on the stretch between the Petron and Shell petrol stations in the direction going towards Georgetown (near Taman Tun Sardon).
I go to Promenade Waterworks Centre Car Wash regularly, normally in the weekends. It can be quite crowded, and a car wash can take over an hour. I like this car wash centre because the workers are very attentive, and will do their best to ensure that cars are properly cleaned. The car wash centre also provides nano wash service, which I usually opt for my car.
The prices are reasonable. Depending on the type/size of the vehicle, the price for a normal car wash ranges from RM10-RM25, and nano wash requiring an additional charge of RM4-RM15.
There is a waiting area for customers while they wait for their cars to be washed. Unfortunately, the waiting area can get quite hot, especially in the afternoon. I hope someday, they will put up an air-conditioned waiting area for the comfort of the customers.
