Where can we find a good dentist in Penang? Well, I recently took my daughter to Penang Dental Surgery in Pulau Tikus, and was impressed with the service.
Penang Dental Surgery is a dental clinic in Pulau Tikus, Penang (Address: 287, Jalan Burma, 10350 Georgetown, Penang. Tel: 04-2262440). It is located in a shop house, on the stretch between Lorong Burma (on the left) and Lebuhraya Codrington (on the right). The area is normally quite busy, and it can be difficult to find a parking spot there.
Penang Dental Surgery has 7 dentists: Dr. Tan Yu Joo, Dr. Lim Wooi Teong, Dr. Lam Chooi Mii, Dr. Ng Kiat Chye, Dr. Seet Mei Ling, Dr. Goh Li Teng, and Dr. Ferdaus. It is required to make an appointment to see a dentist here. Normally, the dentists are fully booked, so the clinic will not be able to accommodate walk-ins (unless you are really lucky).
The waiting area in Penang Dental Surgery is clean and comfortable. Patients can wait either downstairs or upstairs. I think having a comfortable waiting area is important, so patients can relax before going into the dentist’s room.
My daughter was attended by Dr. Ng Kiat Chye. He was able to keep my daughter calm, and looked into her dental issue. Overall, the service was excellent. I will certainly go to Penang Dental Surgery again in the future for dental check-ups.
