De Pauh Garden is a restaurant in Permatang Pauh serving Malay, Western and Thai food (Address: Lot PT 1618, MK6, Jalan Permatang Pauh, 13500 Seberang Perai, Penang. Tel: 04-3991618). It is a huge restaurant, with both non air-cond and air-cond (VIP) sections. Even though the restaurant is huge, it is usually crowded especially during dinner time.
I had the opportunity to dine here with some friends during the recent Puasa month. We dined at the VIP area, which has air conditioning. The dinner we had consisted of curry fish head, fried spring chicken, fried squid (sotong), sambal petai, sambal ulam and fried egg. My favourite is the curry fish head, but the rest of the dishes were also very good. It is an excellent place to enjoy Malay food. I was told that the burger at De Pauh Garden is also unique, in terms of the big size. Will probably try that next time.
