The WSSA 2023 Sport Stacking Competition for Penang schools (Pertandingan Sukan Stacking Antara Sekolah-Sekolah Pulau Pinang) was held at Udini Square on 22 July 2023 (Saturday, 9AM-6PM). Udini Square is a relatively small shopping mall located right beside Lotus’s Penang (or Lotus’s E-Gate) in Gelugor.
On the day of the competition, Udini Square became a busy place. It was very different from the usual quiet environment in this shopping mall. Enthusiastic participants can be seen at the site as early as 8AM, practicing and warming up on the many benches provided. Frank Laurent Coffee Roasters, a cafe located within Udini Square enjoyed brisk business as many people had breakfast here. At the end of the competition, winners were given trophies and medals. Overall, the competition was well organized and the students got to have fun while competing with each other in the Sport Stacking Competition. There were also a booth selling sport staking cups and souvenirs, and another booth selling Tupperware products.
