Hao You Seafood Restaurant (or Hao You Teluk Kumbar Seafood) is one of the best places to enjoy Penang’s seafood. The restaurant is located by a beach in Teluk Kumbar, right beside Lexis Suites Penang. If you come from Bayan Lepas, turn left into the small road right before Lexis Suites Penang. Parking spaces are available, although quite limited.
The food at Hao You Restaurant is pretty good, with various seafood choices like crabs, prawns, fish, clamps, mantis shrimps and such. Other dishes like vegetables and chicken are available to complement the seafood. For drinks, try the refreshing nutmeg juice.
There is a satay stall beside the restaurant, which is highly recommended as well. This is probably the only place in Penang where the satay is served without the satay sauce, as the meat is already heavily marinated. The satay is delicious.
There are many tables available at the restaurant, but it normally gets really busy during dinner time. It is recommended to reach the restaurant before 6pm so as to have an easier time to get a table, and a parking space.
The beach/sea is located at the back of the restaurant. There are many boats parked here. It is a nice, scenic area and visitors get to enjoy the sunset while having dinner.

Overall, Hao You Teluk Kumbar Seafood is a nice restaurant to have a meal with friends and family members. The rustic feel of the restaurant and its location by an idyllic beach is perfect for a relaxing dinner.
