With the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations just around the corner, Gurney Plaza has put up a wonderful Hari Raya decoration at its Centre Atrium. This year’s decoration, titled “Batik Aidilfitri di Gurney Plaza”, showcases the kampung (Malay village) and Malay culture. Inspired by the motifs of batik, a large section of the decoration showcases the intricacies of the batik design. Many characteristics of the kampung are displayed, including the kampung house, hut, batik cloths, bicycle, sampan (boat), 3-wheels cart, wau (kite), congkak and many more. Walking through the decoration inspires a nostalgic feeling, especially if you are from the kampung. Visitors will have a great time here with lots of excellent photo opportunities.
